    3. to call — собирать, созывать, собираться, организовать. Объявлять сбор: to call a meeting — собирать собрание/созывать собрание; to call a congress of the party — созвать съезд партии; to call a strike — объявлять забастовку We are going to call a meeting to discuss the new proposals. — Мы намерены устроить собрание для обсуждения этих новых предложений.
    4. to pick — собирать (ограничен в употреблении небольшой группой существительных: berries, flowers, mushrooms и предполагает собирание единичных предметов один за другим): to pick fruit — собирать фрукты ( срывая каждый плод с дерева); to pick mushrooms — собирать грибы (один за другим, отделяя их от грибницы)
